Video instalation at VKM oct 2010. Based on more than 30 years of home made 8mm films. Photographed by Rune Söderberg, (swedish painter) betwen the 1954- and 1988. Remixed by Gorki. Music by Jorge Alcaide. This recording is of the premier night at Kulturnatta at Museum of culture , Gothenburg, Sweden.

Kurt and Ove´s car repair, originally a short documentary (procuced together with One Night Pixture) can be seen here as a 9 screen videoinstalation at Göteborg Stadsmuseum. Vernissage 18 mars 17.00 o´clock!
A lot has happened in the world since the 60?s, but not in Kurt and Ove´s car repair shop in Gothenburg, Sweden. Like co-existing in their own dimension the two partners ran the garage for four decades. The yellow shack, the old car repair shop looked the same, like time stood still. But not for Kurt and Ove, they had turned over 70 years old. One day, the shop was demolished. A generation of mechanics and their work is vanishing.
This installation is based on several hours of footage shot during three years. It´s G Glaser-Müllers personal envisagement of Kurt, Ove and their work at the car repair shop. He wanted to catch the music and poetry in the simple events during the final years of Kurt and Ove?s work at the car repair shop. Exposing it in a fragmental way were the audience is free to whatch the screen and that intress them the most. Everything unified by the music of the composer Jorge Alcaide.

Idag 8 dec 2006 är K o Os Bilservice borta. Den revs idag bara någon timme innan jag skrev ner dessa rader. Jag gick förbi dem varje dag sen 2003, då jag flyttade till Hisingen. Första gången jag steg in i Kurt och Oves bilverkstad kastades jag tillbaka i tiden och till andra sidan jordklotet. Till Chile, Santiago där jag är född och där min morfar hade en bilverkstad. I K och Os Bilservice hade inget hänt sen 70 talet såg det ut som. Jag började filma de 2004, inspirerad av den fotografiska dokumentärtraditionen. Filmen är mitt farväl till K o Oves bilservice. Filmen är ett koncentrat av alla de känslor och tankar dessa två 70 åriga bilmekaniker väckte hos mig. Många frågor, inga svar.

Jag hatar den. Jag älskar den. Den sk videokonsten. Vilken klåpare som helst kan göra det.
Så nu ställer jag själv ut.
Själv är jag filmare i grunden och har sett ner på videokonsten som något man gör med vänsterhanden. Tills jag upptäckte möjligheterna att förmedla alla de sakerna som inte går att förmedla i konventionell film. Alla dessa tankar, besattheten, förälskelser. Det vackra i det fula. Det avväpnade i det banala. Verket Snart där! är en dagdröm, Separation en ond cirkel och 9/11 or What goes around, comes around ett påstående. Verket Video Autopsy
är en hyllning till en död videokamera jag inte har kunnat begrava.
